We offer classes that are accessible for a wide range of students. Whether you have been doing for years, are stepping onto the mat for the first time, or getting back into yoga after a hiatus...we’ve got you covered. All our classes invite conscious attention to synchronizing breath with movement, which tends to facilitate a safer and more therapeutic experience.
These classes are designed to gently open the joints, stretch and strengthen the body, and calm the mind, allowing stress and tension to melt away. We typically start with a centering technique, and then joint loosening. Most classes include standing poses and balance work, along with seated and lying down poses. Sun salutations may be included (but not too many). Lots of modifications and options are given, which makes this class a great choice whether you are new to yoga or have been doing yoga a long time.
These flow classes start with simple joint loosening movements then sun salutes are used to further warm the body and get the energy moving. These classes balance strength with flexibility, movement with stillness, and effort with ease. All classes include breath awareness, sun salutations, standing poses, and floor poses. This is not a super face paced class done to music, but rather a mindful breath focused practice. Modifications are given for multiple levels, and students are taught to pay attention to safe alignment while moving though the postures.
Come recharge your mind, body and spirit with gentle yoga. Both flowing movements and static poses will melt tension in the joints and muscles, and calm the nervous system. Some classes are done entirely on the floor, while others include standing and balance poses too. Restorative poses may be included to facilitate deep relaxation and letting go. This class will be very accessible, so if you find most regular yoga classes too intense this might be what you have been looking for.
