These classes are designed to gently open the joints, stretch and strengthen the body, and calm the mind, allowing stress and tension to melt away. Lots of modifications and options are given, which make this class a great choice whether you are new to yoga or have been doing yoga a long time.
Synchronizing breath with movement, these flow classes start with simple joint loosening movements then sun salutes are used to further warm the body and get the energy moving. These classes balance strength with flexibility, movement with stillness, and effort with ease. All classes include breath awareness, sun salutations, standing poses, and floor poses. Modifications are given for multiple levels, and students are taught to pay attention to safe alignment while moving though the postures.

Restorative yoga utilizes props to support the body fully, which promotes a deep sense of relaxation. This practice refreshes the mind, body and spirit and compliments an active practice. Yoga for Strength is an open level vinyasa class designed to be both challenging and fun. Classes are thoughtfully planned and anatomy driven with attention to safe alignment and mindful transitions. Classes promote physical strength and mental resilience and equanimity through a combination of strength building and active stretching with a focus on breath awareness. We approach our practice with curiosity and acceptance for our bodies, and students are always encouraged to take ownership of their practice by adjusting their personal level of intensity. The Mysore style of Ashtanga yoga is an individualized way of learning and practicing the Ashtanga sequence of asanas. Each student works at his/her own individual pace within the group. One-to-one assistance, adjustment in the postures, and instruction are given within the group context. In this style, the class is not “led” by an individual teacher. With guidance, practitioners learn the sequence of asanas one at a time in combination with breath, bandha, and drishti.
